Following the Trail of Curiosity …

Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.

— Pablo Picasso

Welcome! You are here because something piqued your interest, something you saw of my artwork or maybe it was a conversation you had with me (or perhaps someone else about my work). Regardless, you are here, CURIOUS, to see more. I love that! That curiosity holds clues – about you and about who God created you to be. I encourage you to dig in and make some discoveries. His creativity deposited so much into our souls, wonder and awe, for example. My whole art-making process is an adventure in noticing life details, recognizing those that captivate my attention enough to research, ponder, and or simply doodle about it and then, often, getting out the watercolor paints. Somewhere in the process I see what God is revealing. For an example, read my blog: Geese, God, and Me.

Poke around in here. Leave a comment, if you wish. Be patient with me and updates on this site. Most of all, may your curiosity in goodness bring you blessing.

THAT FEELING OF JOY…

Drawing out the happy within …

My artmaking involves three hearts. It starts with the heart of God filling my life with His goodness. A desire is sparked to express that joy which then spills out from my fingertips in doodles. These are refined with ink and color added, usually with watercolor paints, resulting in little pieces of home-grown art. When shared, that artmaking has been known to spark smiles and happiness in the hearts of its viewers. I believe a triangle/circle is completed with each connection my art makes; a triangular relationship between God and two of His beloved here on earth; a sphere of joy – χαρά* – flowing between heaven and earth.

*χαρά. Joy. John 15:11; Galatians 5:22
